It Is Here

Tomorrow I will go to work for the last time.  Turn in my demo, keys and have my exit interview and while it isn't the end of life it is a significant change in life.  I look forward to it with some hesitation but Mia and I are ready and we need to spend some time traveling around the country before we land at home for the duration.  It has been a great run.

I can't say enough good things about my employer and his family.  I look forward to a completely different relationship with him and his wife once this chapter is over.  He has made it abundantly clear that we are to stay in touch.

This Thursday Mia and I will go away to decompress.  Pretty sure you can guess where.  (there is a large pile of gravel waiting)  We plan to shut down our computers and phones and go off grid for a couple of weeks.  Just enjoy camping, taking hikes,  walking the dog, fixing meals and enjoying each others company.

We will see you on the flip side.

  1. Even though I don't know you I'm so excited for you. And that is because we too have begun our countdown. Sadly ours is still 3 years away. We dream of all the things we want to do. Please enjoy your new freedom and keep us posted of all your great adventures!

  2. Enjoy your last day at work - I'll bet you can't wait for Wednesday morning! :)

  3. enjoy the last day of work! now the fun can begin!!

  5. Enjoy your last day of work Ken and all the travels that follow.
