Lesson Learned

I made reservations at Robbins Nest RV Park in Brandon, Oregon for late September.  Plans changed and I had to cancel the reservation on August 21, nearly a month in advance of the time we were to be there.  I was charged a $100.00 deposit/cancellation fee on my Discover card and was told when I questioned it that it was their policy to keep the deposit.  I didn't see any cancellation policy on their website and I frankly don't recall them ever saying anything about the deposit being nonrefundable if we chose to cancel.  I could see a cancellation fee of ten to twenty bucks but $100.00 is ridiculous.

Needless to say, lesson learned.  I will not reserve without first knowing the cancellation policy.
